OHS Golfer, Joie Sollers will be signing her Letter of Intent to play golf at DACC at 6:30 pm tonight in the OHS Library. Come out and help celebrate Joie's commitment to the Oakwood Golf Program and her transition to a college golf career at DACC.
OHS gives Gage Reed and Joe Lashuay a send off this morning as they leave to compete in the IHSA State Finals at the State Farm Center in Champaign. Good Luck at State!
Below is the schedule for this weekends IHSA State Wrestling Finals at the State Farm Center in Champaign. We are a 1A school and the start times are highlighted. Get their early because there have been long lines for tickets in the past.
Scholastic Bowl Varsity fell to Bismarck and then to Salt Fork in a tie breaker. JV lost to Bismarck and beat Salt Fork. The Scholastic bowl team is back in action tomorrow night at 5:30 at Hoopeston Area High School.
We have three OSF wrestlers at IHSA State tomorrow at the State Farm Center. Reef Pacot and Gage Reed should wrestle around 12:00 pm and Joe Lashuay should wrestle around 12:30 pm. Come out and cheer them on!
OHS Seniors from band, cheer and boys basketball along with their parents were honored tonight before the varsity basketball game against GRF. Thank you for all you have done for OHS.

The Scholastic Bowl Team is competing in the Masonic Academic Bowl Sectionals tomorrow morning at 8:30 am at St. Joseph-Ogden High School.
OHS athletic activities will still be played today and tomorrow. The Wrestlers are at Olympia High School at 4:30 pm today and 10 am tomorrow. Boys Varsity Basketball is at Westville at 6 PM tonight. We have 4 girls in the 3-point contest at Maroa at 5:30 pm tonight. Go Comets!
The Student Council blood drive scheduled for OHS today has been cancelled.
In the Girls Regional at Maroa at the half Oakwood is ahead of Unity 22-12.
From the Maroa Athletics Director:
We are good to go tonight for the regional. The main roads are clear and traffic is moving just fine on Route 51. Fans should take the main highways and not the backroads into Maroa as I am not sure what those are like.
Tonight’s Girls Basketball Game against Unity in the Regional at Maroa-Forsyth High School at 7:30 PM is still being played. Be safe and if you can make it come cheer the Comets on to victory.
Our students are being released from school at 11:30 AM today. We are cancelling the Freshman Boys Basketball game with Westville tonight. Also, the Scholastic Bowl Meet at Armstrong tonight is cancelled.
Tonight Girls Regional game against Unity at Maroa has been postponed due to weather. It is reschedule for tomorrow night Feb 13th at 7:30 PM at Maroa.
OSF wrestlers are doing well at Regionals. The following wrestlers are in the finals. Caide Borden, Josh Miller, Connor Hutson, Joe Lashuay, Gage Reed, and Reef Pacot.
Oakwood Comets Cheer did a great job with their time on the floor at the IHSA State Cheer Finals. Results will follow in about 45 minutes. The top 10 teams advance to the finals tomorrow. Good Luck Ladies!
OCC supporters coming to Bloomington to the IHSA Cheer State Finals. Oakwood fans are sitting in Section 107 of the Grossinger Motors Arena. Come and cheer for the Comets.
OSF Wrestlers have their Regional Feb 7th at 5 PM and
February 8th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph-Ogden High School. They are ranked 18th in class 1A. Go out and watch the OSF wrestlers this weekend.
