Sullivan Elementary suffered a loss on Friday. Oakwood 76 would like everyone to wear blue on Monday in support of the Sullivan school district and its community.

Students may carry water bottles during the day. The bottles need to be clear and have a lid. Water is the only beverage to be carried.
Midterms have been mailed.
First Parent Team meeting will be Tuesday, September 17 at 6:00 pm in the OJHS Cafeteria. We will discuss possible activities for the year.
OJHS Picture Retake Day is Friday, November 8. We will also take sports pictures for girls basketball, boys basketball and cheerleading.
Help us celebrate our eighth grade baseball players on Thursday, September 12. We will recognize our eighth grade players at the beginning of the game at 4:15.
OJHS Baseball practice on Wednesday, September 11, ends at 4:30.
OJHS is preparing for the 2019 Homecoming. Student Council has planned Spirit Week days.

Our OJHS representatives joined other student leaders from across Illinois today to gain and share information about supporting student leaders, connecting with peers from different geographic regions and using interscholastic activities to expand student leadership.
Oakwood Junior High School students are headed to Bloomington for the IESA Student Leadership Conference.

OJHS ended our first week with an assembly, where Mrs. Burton displayed trophies we received at the end of the last school year for high attendance in the district and for participating in a Kindness initiative.
